Industrial Grade Ethyl Cellulose is a multi-functional film-forming resin for solvent-based industrial coatings, including metal anti-corrosion paint, wood lacquer, plastic coating and insulating finish.
It dissolves well in alcohols, esters and aromatic solvents with excellent compatibility with most resins and additives. It effectively prevents sagging and pigment sedimentation during construction, delivering smooth, high-gloss coating surface.
EC forms hydrophobic, flexible film with outstanding water, salt spray and acid & alkali resistance, resisting abrasion and yellowing under long-term sunlight. Different viscosity grades are available: low viscosity N10/N22 for better leveling & fast drying; medium-high viscosity N50/N100 for stronger film barrier and toughness.
Ideal for steel anti-rust coating, furniture finish, peelable protective coating and electronic insulation coating.
Ethyl cellulose EC (CAS 9004-57-3) is a hydrophobic cellulose polymer powder, insoluble in water but readily soluble in organic solvents. It exhibits excellent film-forming and bonding properties and is available in pharmaceutical, food, and electronics industrial grades, categorized by viscosity as N10, N22, N50, and N100. Its main functions include sustained-release and controlled-release, moisture protection, and powder bonding.
