Ethyl cellulose (EC) is a chemical-grade additive compatible with a wide range of raw material systems, including ethanol, animal and vegetable oils, and fragrance essential oils, exhibiting excellent compatibility. When added to a formulation, it optimizes the system's rheological structure, effectively inhibiting powder sedimentation and oil-water separation. This maintains a long-lasting, uniform, and stable paste while preventing separation and water separation during storage.
The material is odorless and chemically inert, so it will not interfere with fragrance notes or skincare active ingredients. It forms a thin, flexible film that provides both slow-release fragrance locking and moisturizing film-forming effects. Available in multiple viscosities, it is suitable for perfumes, balms, skincare creams, and cosmetics. Its high purity and low impurity content meet chemical safety requirements, making it a multifunctional additive that stabilizes formulas and enhances overall product quality.
Ethyl cellulose EC (CAS 9004-57-3) is a hydrophobic cellulose polymer powder, insoluble in water but readily soluble in organic solvents. It exhibits excellent film-forming and bonding properties and is available in pharmaceutical, food, and electronics industrial grades, categorized by viscosity as N10, N22, N50, and N100.
