What is CMC-NH4?

Ammonium Carboxymethyl Cellulose (CMC-NH4) is an ammonium salt of carboxymethyl cellulose produced through chemical modification of natural cellulose.

It is a white, odorless, non-toxic powder with excellent water solubility. When dissolved in water, it forms a stable and highly viscous solution with strong thickening, binding, and suspension properties.

Compared with conventional Sodium Carboxymethyl Cellulose (CMC-Na), CMC-NH4 offers significant advantages in high-temperature applications due to its:
