Shanghai Prior Chemical specializes in the development, production and global supply of CMC-NH4 (Ammonium Carboxymethyl Cellulose), a high-purity cellulose specifically designed for high-temperature ceramic and catalyst applications.
CMC-NH4 is widely used as a low-ash, sodium-free binder in SCR denitrification catalysts, honeycomb ceramics, lithium battery materials, phosphor powders and precision electronic ceramics.
Ammonium Carboxymethyl Cellulose (CMC-NH4) is an anionic cellulose derivative produced by chemical modification of natural cellulose.
It appears as a white or slightly yellow powder, odorless, tasteless and non-toxic. It readily dissolves in cold water to form a transparent and highly viscous solution.
Compared with conventional Sodium Carboxymethyl Cellulose (CMC-Na), CMC-NH4 provides significant advantages in high-temperature applications due to its extremely low ash residue and absence of alkali metal contamination.
