Product Features

Ammonium carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC-NH₄) is a high-performance non-ionic cellulose derivative synthesized from natural polymer cellulose via sophisticated chemical modification processes. It appears as a white, odorless, tasteless and non-toxic powdered solid, which can be completely dissolved in cold water to form a uniform, transparent and highly viscous aqueous solution.
This product integrates multiple excellent functional properties including thickening, adhesion, dispersion, emulsification, film formation, suspension, adsorption, gelation and surface activity. With superior comprehensive application performance, it is widely adopted in the manufacturing processes of honeycomb ceramics, lithium-ion batteries, supercapacitors, electronic packaging and other industries. It effectively optimizes production conditions and significantly improves the finished product yield and production stability.
The structural formula of CMC-NH₄ is C₆H₇O₂(OH)₂OCH₂COONH₄, and its molecular formula is C₈H₁₅O₇N.


Product Applications

Ammonium carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC-NH4) is a specialty adhesive primarily used in high-quality SCR denitration catalysts. It addresses the issue of alkali metal-induced deactivation in conventional CMC, which can damage the structure and active sites of SCR catalysts. By using CMC-NH4, the performance and service life of SCR catalysts are significantly improved, thereby enhancing their market competitiveness.
Compared to traditional CMC, CMC-NH4 offers stronger cohesion and less residual ash after roasting.
