Product Description
Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose (HPMC), a water-soluble non-ionic cellulose , offers thickening, water retention, adhesion, and film-forming properties. This product is suitable for use as a binder for honeycomb ceramic carriers for automotive exhaust purification. It dissolves in water and is suitable for extrusion molding binders. After high-temperature sintering, it turns into carbon dioxide and water, leaving no residues.
Product Advantages
- Non-ionic and extremely stable: It does not react with milk proteins, electrolytes, or acidic systems, remaining stable even in slightly acidic environments such as yogurt and lactic acid bacteria beverages, and is not prone to flocculation or separation.
- Excellent thickening and suspending stabilizing effects: It can increase system viscosity, prevent protein sedimentation and whey separation, improve stability during standing and transportation, and extend shelf life.
- Improved smooth texture: It imparts a soft, rich, and non-sticky texture to dairy products, enhancing the palatability of dairy beverages, yogurt, and ice cream.
- Inhibits ice crystal formation (frozen dairy products): In ice cream and smoothies, it inhibits ice crystal growth, resulting in a smooth, residue-free texture and improved melt resistance and shape retention.
- Good compatibility: It can be compounded with pectin, CMC, xanthan gum, monoglycerides, etc., synergistically enhancing stability, and is suitable for various dairy formulas.
- Safe, mild, and odorless: Colorless and odorless, it does not mask the milky aroma, meets food-grade standards, and does not affect the product's flavor or color.
